F.R.S.A. Fellowship For Jane Powell

Earlier this year I proposed our President, Jane Powell, as a Fellow of The Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, more popularly known as the R.S.A.  The Society was founded in the eighteenth century, has its headquarters at John Adam House in London.  The Duke of Edinburgh is the President.

In my opinion Jane has given tremendous support to the Fine Arts and education in particular and I have now heard that she has been duly elected.  I congratulate her, as I am sure all our members will, and thank her for all the support and encouragement she has given us as our President over the years.
