WORKSHOPS WITH TANYA KOZIN
You may be interested to know that Autumn term sessions start from 21st of September; and there are three different classes on offer in Coventry.
 
We continue with evening Life drawing and afternoon Portrait + Figure class. This term, the Evening Sculpture class in the Artspace will be focused on the female figure.
Places are still available for all three, but do book now.

1. Life drawing and painting (Monday EVENING)
Duration: 10 weeks   
Fee: £96   (some basic tuition provided)
Dates: 21 Sept – 7 Dec,  (no classes on 26 Oct and 23 Nov), Wednesday 19.00 - 20.00

This course is designed for those who have already completed an entry-level life-drawing course, or equivalent. It will provide ample opportunity for those who wish to portray the human body in various forms and styles. The aim is to give you the skills and ambition needed to take further your figurative art and to produce work suitable for public display.

The sessions will cover drawing techniques, along with those of painting, depending on your choice. To encourage artistic advance and give more time to complete artwork, life-models will be asked to maintain poses for successive weeks. You will be guided in developing the particular style most suited to you.
 
2. Portrait and Figure drawing (Tuesday AFTERNOON)
Duration: 9 weeks/18 hrs   
Fee: £72   (some basic tuition provided)
Dates: 22 Sept – 1 Dec, (no classes on 27 Oct and 24 Nov), Tuesday 14.00 - 16.00

3. Figure sculpture (Wednesday EVENING)
Project: Female figure
Duration: 8 weeks (20hrs)  + 1 meeting
Fee: £96   (tuition provided)
Meeting: 23 Sept, Wednesday 19.00-21.00 (optional: sketching and preparation)
Starts: 30 Sept, Wednesday 19.00 – 21.30

Venue: Coventry Artspace, 16 Lower Holyhead Road, Coventry town centre (free parking)

You will have the opportunity to produce one clay figure sculpture ready for mould making or firing. Materials will be provided at shared cost. Some previous drawing experience is necessary. Tutorial guidance will be provided. 
Some sculptures from previous classes have been exhibited in The Herbert, RBSA Gallery and Gallery 150 in Leamington Spa!

Materials:
Clay: terracotta, paper clay, or any other clay (6kg, 12kg bag). A couple of wooden sculpting tools, measuring calipers (for sculpture), figure stand for armature.
