DIARY - SPRING & SUMMER 2025

Dear Artists,
URGENT - we need your submission now for this year's Summer Exhibition at Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery. (So far, we haven't received many entries). 
This is a lovely gallery in the park, central Nuneaton and is struggling - and needs our support! Attached form and details as Word Doc and also as PDF. If you prefer, you can email Exhibition Secretary: Sue Clifford, scliffct@gmail.com with the information required.

The committee are currently working on a design for a new CWSA website. We would like a photograph of you, your work, and a short CV or an update of the ones already displayed on the old website  www.covwarsocart.co.uk. Or bring them with you to our AGM

This is a social event, coffee and cookies. Bring in a work/painting for a helpful group crit. If you have unwanted art materials and books, please bring them in and donate to raising funds for both DEBRA and ACORN children's charities.

9th April Coffee Morning and Visit to the Coventry Open Exhibition

• THE HERBERT ART GALLERY
• 10.45 am meet UP in the Herbert Cafe for coffee, and then visit the EXHIBITION. 

This is informal opportunity to meet up with other CWSA artists and walk around the exhibition 
The OPEN is always controversial and makes for much discussion! 
Note: The Herbert is now making a small charge for entrance.
PLEIN AIR PAINTING DAY

• 15th June. SUNDAY at MAXSTOKE CASTLE

The castle is privately owned and only open one day a year to raise money for charity.
It is a beautiful place. Please book your own entrance tickets in advance.

You may share your space/days with another CWSA artist if you wish to.    
BURTON GREEN ART IN THE HALL EXHIBITION       

• Weekend. 9th - 10th August.

Last year's exhibition was excellent. Lovely hall. Good 'stands' for hanging pictures.
Good kitchen and seating area for teas/coffees.
We raised over £300 for Myton Hospice. This year we are raising money for children's charities, DEBRA and ACORN.
If you attend any good day-workshops you can recommend for members, please let us know.
Some of our members also run excellent workshops and you can contact them for more information.

Life Drawing, Sculpture on Wednesday mornings, and Portrait Workshops on Friday mornings.

Membership to CWSA is free for students aged 16-21, so if you know any young artists, do encourage them to join and take part.
