This is a brilliant fun morning with all materials provided. (No needles involved).

BURTON GREEN ART IN THE HALL EXHIBITION
8th & 9th August 2026.
This is a lovely exhibition space with lots of light, a tea room, and an opportunity to raise money for MAKE A WISH charity. 
Booking form available. Early bird exhibitors will have their name included on promotional postcards.
*Note: we are aware that HS2 has closed the nearby bridge. This makes a difficult journey from Coventry, but is okay for visitors from Kenilworth & Balsall Common areas. We will be  'planting' verge side signs to point people to the Exhibition and do more publicity.

(We also have a Glass House Exhibition in the Gardens 15th - 17th May, so
maybe you can visit both exhibitions and support our artists).
 
  • CHARTERHOUSE
Colonel John Wyley was a founder member of the CWSA and donated the Charterhouse to the city. This is now in the hands of the National Trust. CWSA members are invited to attend a talk at the Charterhouse by Emma Major, granddaughter of John Wyley. They would love some current CWSA members to attend.
Contact: Charterhouse, Laura Fairfax<oneilllr8@hotmail.com> Saturday 11th July. 2 pm. There will also be a book festival (the first in Coventry) going on at the same time. Plus, a talk by Hannah Dale, owner of Wrendale Designs, coming to talk at the Festival about her art and sign her latest book which is just breathtakingly awesome.
  • 4-hour DJ WORKSHOP
12th September at the Droitwich Community Centre
Art by DJ https://www.artbydj.co.uk/  has been booked to give all members and non-members of CWSA a 4-hour acrylic workshop on Saturday 12th September 10-2pm in the Droitwich Community Hall, the costs will be in the region of £20 for members and £24 for non-members. This is a really good opportunity for an enjoyable session. Contact Tina here to prebook your place as places are now limited.
 
  • MAXSTOKE CASTLE ARTISAN SHOW (New)
16th - 17th May. 10 am - 4pm
Tickets only available from events@maxstokecastle.com
Showcase of highest quality British, handmade and heritage crafts, alongside crafts practiced centuries ago and still used today.  Also, Knights of Honour Re-enactment.
Step back in time to 14th century England.

A lovely place to take your painting things and paint!

HERBERT ART GALLERY, are renting out two small galleries to individual artists
You hang/display your work, and 'man' your exhibition.  The galleries are at the top of the stairs - next to the lift.

(Minimum booking 2 weeks, and they like exhibitions to be 'themed')

Membership to CWSA is free for students aged 16-21, so if you know any young artists, do encourage them to join and take part. (Adult membership is £15.pa). We will also be giving a student 50% discount on most of our professional workshop days.
