Diary-August

Dear Members,
DIARY DATES:
WONDERFUL EXHIBITION TO COME
BURTON GREEN ART IN THE HALL EXHIBITION - update
8th & 9th August 2026.
All tables have been taken and enough entries for paintings received.  An email has been sent out to members requesting support in setting up the exhibition, many thanks to those who responded. Volunteers also needed for kitchen duties and serving refreshments
This is a lovely exhibition space with lots of light, a tea room, and an opportunity to raise money for MAKE A WISH charity. To this end, Moyra has obtained leaflets and balloons from ‘Make a Wish’ to go on a table in the entrance hall.
*Note: we are aware that HS2 has closed the nearby bridge. This makes a difficult journey from Coventry, but is okay for visitors from Kenilworth & Balsall Common areas. We will be 'planting' verge side signs to point people to the Exhibition and do more publicity
WONDERFUL RECENT EXHIBITIONS
CWSA GLASS HOUSE, JEPHSON GARDENS, LEAMINGTON SPA
Visitors arrived early to our exhibitions, not in great numbers but had the option of a lovely stroll through the morning sunshine at Jephson Gardens, which are a picture.
According to Jephson Gardens information you can explore a tropical glasshouse, stroll through a sensory garden with edible plants, admire unique sculptures, and feed the ducks on the lake. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing walk a family picnic or an exciting art exhibition or two!

RECENT SHOWING AT JEPHSON GARDENS GALLERY
Two exhibitions featuring Uthaya Swoboda and Katy Walden were on display during May, exploring colour, texture, light, nature and landscapes through beautifully expressive painting.
Set in the heart of Jephson Gardens, this was the perfect chance to enjoy inspiring art in a stunning setting. Even through the heat many visitors popped in, took their time, and discovered something new.
Uthaya says “In the third week of my exhibition at the Jephson Gardens Gallery with Katy Walden, the weather was perfect to linger in the beautiful Jephson Gardens and our exhibition. We welcomed numerous visitors to the gallery from far and near.”
